No major airlines fly to Carriacou, as its runway is too short to accommodate larger planes, so you'll have to come via a smaller plane.
Flights to Grenada
Major airlines flying to Grenada's airport (code GND aka Maurice Bishop Airport) include those below. However, it is much easier to simply search flights to Grenada.
Depending on when you are scheduled to arrive in Grenada, you may need to spend the night before journeying onward to Carriacou.

Flights from Grenada to Carriacou
If you’re short on time (or prone to seasickness), flying is the fastest way to get to Carriacou.
SVG Air, operated via Grenadine Air Alliance, runs daily flights between Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) in Grenada and Lauriston Airport (CRU) in Carriacou. The flight takes about 20 minutes, and you’ll be treated to some stunning aerial views of the Grenadines.
- ✈️ Flights are usually once daily, but not Thursdays. Also, the schedule can vary depending on the season and demand.
- 💺 Seats are limited — the aircraft is a small twin-prop plane with around 8–10 seats, so advance booking is highly recommended.
- 💰 Fares typically start at around US$100 one-way, but prices can fluctuate.

By Sea Ferry
You have a few options travelling by sea ferry to Carriacou from Grenada.
Osprey Ferry
Osprey is a high-speed passenger ferry that operates between Carriacou and Grenada every day except Sunday. The journey takes about 1h45m each way.
From Monday to Friday, Osprey departs Carriacou at 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and departs Grenada at 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. (There are two ferries in case you are wondering how it can leave Carriacou and Grenada at the same time in the late afternoon).
On Saturdays, there’s just one sailing in each direction: it departs Grenada at 9:00 AM and Carriacou at 5:00 PM.
In Grenada, the Osprey leaves and arrives from its docking bay right across from the police station and fire department at The Carenage in St George's. There are a handful of parking spots there and room to be dropped off or picked up by taxi. Please note that the Osprey's Grenada office is located on the other side of The Carenage.
🚨 Note: It's not uncommon for the boat to leave late from Grenada — island time is real. 😄
In Carriacou, the Osprey leaves and arrives from the its facilities in Tyrell Bay, while its Carriacou offices are in the town of Hillsborough.

Where You Catch the Ferry in Carriacou and Grenada
Tickets
Tickets can be purchase on the spot prior to boarding, but only with cash.
Tickets can also be purchased in advance at the Osprey offices in The Carenage of St George's, Grenada and in Hillsborough, Carriacou.

Costs
The one-way fare (in either direction) is EC$80 (US$ 31) for adults, EC$50 (US$19) for children aged 5 to 12) and EC$10 (US$4) for children aged under 5.
No discount is given for return journeys, but buying it advance can save you from waiting in line to buy your return ticket.
Duration
The journey takes about 1h45m one-way. This can depend on which ferry you actually catch. The Osprey line comprises an older, smaller, slower and slower boat (dubbed Osprey Express) and a newer, bigger, faster one (dubbed Osprey Shuttle).
There is no ferry service on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday. But there is often more frequent ferry service during special periods such as during Carriacou’s Carnival and Regatta.
Tyrell Bay Express (TBE) Ferry

Tyrell Bay Express is another ferry option between Carriacou and Grenada, with service three days a week.
On Tuesdays & Thursdays:
- Departs Carriacou at 5:00 AM
- Departs Grenada at 4:00 PM
On Saturdays:
- Departs Carriacou at 5:00 AM
- Departs Grenada at 5:000 PM

The Tyrell Bay Express journey between Carriacou and Grenada takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on sea conditions and the amount of cargo being loaded or unloaded.
As for pricing:
- Passengers: EC$60 one-way (as of the latest known info)
- Vehicles: Varies based on size — small cars start around EC$250 one-way (incluidng one passenger), but it’s best to call for exact pricing, especially for trucks or shipping containers.
Because TBE can accommodate vehicles, you may be tempted to rent a car in Grenada and take it across to Carriacou, but it is probably more practical to simply rent a car in Carriacou once you arrive.
TBE is much prompter than Osprey, so make sure you are on time!
Kayak Lines Ferry
Carriacou's latest ferry service, Kayak Lines offers early morning departures from Carriacou and afternoon returns from Grenada, operating three days a week. It’s a good option for day trips or cargo runs, and private charters are also available.

MV Dolly C Ferry
Dolly C was another slower but good-value ferry option for traveling between Carriacou and Grenada. Unfortunately, it ran aground on March 7, 2025 and is out of service until further notice. It’s unclear when or if service will resume. We’ll update this page when more is known.

By Cruise Excursion
Most cruise ships are too large to dock at Carriacou, but a trip to Carriacou from Grenada and back is possible if you are on a cruise ship docked in Grenada. This will depend on the timing of your ship's arrival and departure and how much money you want spend on a water taxi or sailboat to Carriacou. 🙂
